From the Executive Director's Desk: Great Programs Coming Up in September!

As we wrap up August here at the ACM, we are speeding right into our busiest fundraising month of the year! With our Driving Through History event, on the evening of September 23rd and the Carriagetown Car Show, on September 24th, we are looking ahead to a very fun month in Amesbury.

This will be our 4th Driving Through History to both celebrate the history of Amesbury’s carriage and auto-body industries and to raise money for educational program development.

This year, Driving Through History will take place at our own Industrial History Center, and will feature music from Cuppa Joe, delicious BBQ, a live auction with John McInnis Auctioneers, and special guest Wes Pettengill from the Car Show. And, with antique carriages from our collection, this is an event not to be missed!

On September 24th, we are pleased to be part of the annual Carriagetown Car Show, and to be a non-profit recipient of car show proceeds. This year we are kicking it into high gear with vintage autos on the bullnose in Market Square, including a special appearance by the Hoyt Buffalo Brand Peanut Butter truck. This 1918 Ford Model T delivery truck delivered peanut products, made right here in Amesbury.

To be featured at the Carriagetown Car Show, 1918 Ford Model T Hoyt’s Buffalo Brand delivery truck, from the Collection of Joshua Ballon, Precision Powersports, LLC.

We hope to see you as we celebrate Amesbury’s carriage and auto history in September, and help us get our wheels in motion… propelling us forward for another year of educational programming at the ACM.

Most sincerely,
Kelly Daniell
