A Virtual Tour of the Powow River - 10:30 to 11:30 AM
John Mayer, ACM Executive Director, will lead a virtual tour highlighting the various industries that lined the Powow River and showcase the elements that remain.
Early Industries of Amesbury presentation - 12:30 to 2:00 PM
Four presenters will talk about Amesbury’s early industries: Sawmills:by Ron Klodenski, Gristmills by Larry Pearl, Oil Mills (to process flax seeds) by Tom Murphy, and Shipbuilding by Steve Klomps.
Gristmill Kits
An interactive kit with hands-on activities for elementary-aged learners is available for pick-up on Friday, October 16th (limit one per family while supplies last). The Gristmill Kit includes information about this industry and ingredients to make gingerbread.
