Our Fall Programs - Celebrate 2019

Dear Friend of the Museum -

2019 continues to be a remarkable year for the Amesbury Carriage Museum! We are nearing the end of the program calendar and we have begun to develop plans for 2020. Behind the scenes plans for the Industrial History Center (IHC) are taking form while we secure the resources needed to make it a vibrant resource for our community. Soon we will have a full report about this project to share with you.

While we welcome the Fall season to Amesbury, I am pleased to share two events that will be of interest to you.

Aperture on Amesbury #3. On Saturday October 19 from 10 am to noon - we will offer a special tour for photographers of all levels who want to explore our historic landscape. We are pleased to have local artist Courtney Jordan as our tour leader. The tour can only accommodate 15 participants - please sign up today if you are interested. There is a $15 fee for members and a $20 fee for non members.

ACM Open House / Amesbury Open Studios. On Saturday, November 9 from 11 am to 3 pm we will open our offices to our community. Staff, Board members and volunteers will be on hand to welcome our visitors, we will feature demonstrations by two mechanics and model-makers (Norm Jones and Richard Cushing), there will be millyard tours at noon and 2 pm, and we will have lots of information to share about our plans for 2020. This is a free event and open to all. I hope you will drop by.

Visit the ACM Events Calendar for more information and to register for our Aperture tour.

The 2019 Annual Appeal. At the end of every year we send out a fundraising appeal to our community. The annual appeal provides unrestricted funds for our operations including programs, school tours and more. The 2019 Annual Appeal soon will be in the mail. I hope you will support us with a generous donation to keep our programs going. If you would like to make a contribution through our website - you can visit our donation page here to make your gift. This is a request above the support we receive from our membership drive. Your support is much appreciated and truly makes a difference!

On behalf of all of us who are part of the Amesbury Carriage Museum - I thank you for your interest, your participation and your support. Here is to great things ahead!

With much appreciation,
John Mayer
