Museum News: Upcoming Events - Explore Amesbury History!

Dear Friend of the ACM,

We think you will agree - our upcoming programs offer something for everyone! This coming Wednesday, April 24, Joe Fahey, former Director of Economic and Community Development, will share the story of the renovation of the Amesbury millyard - a project that began in the later 1970s.

And then on Saturday, May 4, you'll have a chance to explore the millyard during our first ever Family Day! The day will feature tours, demonstrations and activities for all.

Wednesday, April 24 - the Bailey Family Lecture: Renovating the Millyard, a presentation by Joseph Fahey
Amesbury City Hall, 62 Friend Street, Amesbury.
Doors open at 6:30 pm - program begins at 7:00 pm.
Free admission - donations encouraged!

Saturday, May 4 - Family Day in the Millyard
Al Capp Amphitheater in the upper millyard, 10 am to 1 pm.
Free admission - donations encouraged!

New Educational Resources on the ACM Website

Visit the School Programming page on the museum website and you will find the first round of new information the museum has developed for schools, families and others interested in Amesbury history.

With the help of a group of volunteer educators, the Amesbury Millyard Walking Tour has been developed to connect students and others to the community. A complimentary document offers activities to engage users before and after taking the tour. Click here to visit the School Programming page.

We are delighted to be developing these materials for our community.

Thank you for your interest in the Amesbury Carriage Museum and for your support of our programs!

I look forward to seeing you at one or all of our upcoming events!
