This 1929 Hudson will be part of the Sunday car show. It features a body made by the Biddle and Smart Company of Amesbury.

I hope you will come by the annual Carriagetown Car Show this Sunday, June 30. Beginning at 9 am and continuing until 2 pm, the Amesbury downtown will be filled with vintage cars of all types. Once again the museum has organized a display of Amesbury-bodied cars including a 1911 Bailey electric, Stanley Steamers, a Hudson and a Franklin. The bodies of these cars were made by workers who were once part of the local carriage industry. And if you want to learn more, at 10 am and 11:30 am volunteer Mike Hudson will offer a walking tour focused on the local auto-body industry. Stop by our tent on the bullnose in Market Square!

And on Saturday evening, June 29 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm, the museum is holding our social event and fundraiser - Driving through History. This is intended as a fun, social gathering and a playful way to kick-off the car show while raising support for the museum. Amesbury Chevrolet is allowing us to fill their showroom with a few vintage cars, and John McInnis will conduct an auction of unique items that are intended to delight our audience including special tours, clever dinners and unique travel opportunities. There will be great food and music, and a chance to socialize with friends. All proceeds support museum programs. Click here to get your tickets!

I am so proud and humbled by the generous support of our community. Many volunteers have come forward to make these events happen. Join us - get your ticket for Saturday night and then stop by on Sunday to enjoy the Carriagetown Car Show. I'll see you there!
