Spring Happenings at the Industrial History Center

We are so looking forward to the warmer weather and the many programs and activities on our Spring calendar. We are grateful for contributions from our 2022 Program Sponsors and grants from the Amesbury and Massachusetts Cultural Councils. All of these generous donors have made our programming possible.

Family Day

Join us for fun indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family:

  • Make a boat, decorate a hat, and try your hand at loom weaving

  • Make a book with the Friends of the Library

  • Play games on the lawn

  • Enjoy music and snacks

We welcome new and renewing members and their guests to see what the Amesbury Carriage Museum and the IHC are all about. We’ll mingle, win prizes, enjoy refreshments, and show you the benefits of supporting our organization.

 

Thursdays in the Millyard

June 9 through August 25

Free and open to the public.

Starting on Thursday, June 9th, the IHC will shift our hours later to 2:00 to 6:00 PM. We hope you’ll be able to combine a visit to view our exhibits and enjoy children’s activities prior to dining, shopping, and participating in the Chamber of Commerce’s Thursday evening programs.

The Museum will be bringing out our vintage carriages for viewing and providing some photo opportunities along with children’s activities. And, of course, the Chamber will be bringing back favorites like face painting, pony rides, and delicious food.

 

Aperture on Amesbury - Then & Now

Saturday, June 25
10:00 AM – noon
Industrial History Center
Registration will open in June: $20 for members / $25 for non-members

A program for photographers of all levels to explore Amesbury, in the past and the present.

Participants will look through historic photographs of the city with ACM staff, and then the group will find those same places today, capturing them through their own unique lens. Selected photographs will be printed and framed by the museum, to be exhibited in the Industrial History Center from September through December, 2022.
