Textile Traditions – A Modern Quilting Bee

We are very excited to invite you to our next program at the Industrial History Center:

Textile Traditions – A Modern Quilting Bee
Saturday, July 23rd from noon to 4 PM

Join us for a family-friendly afternoon of activities and demonstrations to learn about the tradition of quilting in New England. Visitors will get hands-on experience in the basics of shapes and patterns, and the various steps to construct hand-sewn and machine-pieced quilts. Both children and adults can take part and learn something new!

The Industrial History Center is the perfect environment for this event. Located in a five-story brick building built 200 years ago to produce textiles, this mill has been a place of work for thousands of people as part of the New England industrial revolution.

The program is open to the public, no registration required. A $5.00 donation is recommended.
