Lowell’s Boat Shop, established in 1793, is the oldest operating boat shop in America. A National Historic Landmark and working museum, you will hear from Graham McKay while touring this last surviving site of the boat building industry in the Merrimack River Valley.
Visitors are then welcomed to the ACM’s Industrial History Center for a conversation with Kelly Daniell about the water powered industries in the heart of Amesbury, and how they shaped the community we live in today.
