Family Fun in the Millyard - July & August
Hello friends,
We are excited to announce a new program series for the summer - Family Fun in the Millyard. We will have family-friendly activities on Thursday afternoons at the new Industrial History Center in the Upper Millyard.
Starting on July 8th, and alternate Thursdays through August, kids can learn through coloring historical images of farms, spinning wheels, carriages, water wheels, gears, and more. We'll also have fun lawn games -- Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, and Corn Hole -- to channel some of that excess energy!
Starting on July 15th, and alternate Thursdays through August, families & individuals can tour the Upper Millyard to learn about its key historic features -- learn about the origin of the millyard; see the gristmill stone and learn about Amesbury's mills; and see the power of the Powow River and how it supported the development of our local industries.
And, you can just drop on Thursday afternoons during our programs to say hello, find out about membership, and see the inside of the new Center (before our Grand Opening in October).
