Meet our new Executive Director!

The Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Kelly Daniell as the new Executive Director of the Amesbury Carriage Museum.

Kelly comes to Amesbury from The Peabody Historical Society & Museum, where she served six years as Curator. In that role, she maintained the extensive decorative arts and research collections, as well as eight historic buildings in the City of Peabody.

Her recent exhibition subjects included examining stories of immigration, profiling veterans, and charting the lives of four notable women in Peabody’s long history.

Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree in Cultural and Historic Preservation from Salve Regina University and a master’s degree in History Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program.

Tom Pendergast, ACM Board President, says, "We are confident Kelly will continue the excellent work of John Mayer, our retiring Executive Director. We look forward to continue to tell the story of Amesbury's rich history through the Industrial History Center at Mill 2."

Beginning her position on Monday, March 28th, Kelly can be reached by email and by phone: kdaniell@amesburycarriagemuseum.org, 978-834-5058. You can also meet her at our next Museum events:

  • History on Tap on Monday, 3/28 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at Brewery Sivaticus.

  • IHC Spring Launch on Saturday, 4/2 from noon to 4 PM at Mill 2, Upper Millyard.
